Tenon announced today iTools 8.2, with the latest Apache 2.2.0, for Intel and PPC Macs. iTools 8.2 on Apple's new Intel Core Duo Mac mini is a web server with unbeatable price performance characteristics. Apache 2.2.0 has new architectural features resulting in significantly improved memory and disk utilization, support for files greater than 2GB, a new database API and new database modules, enabling database applications to work more efficiently. In addition to Apache 2.2, Tenon's iTools 8.2 now includes mod_perl 2.0.2, with more compiled functions resulting in faster Perl and faster iTools management operations, a more efficient mod_fastcgi 2.4.2, leading to a better experience for standard web requests, mod_ssl 2.2.0, mod_security 1.9.1, a web firewall, mod_deflate, a html compressor that conserves bandwidth, MySQL 5, with stored procedures, triggers, views and cursors, PHP 5.11, with upgraded libpq (Postgress), libCurl, openSSL 0.9.8, ming for Flash movie support, SQLLite, and ProFTP 1.2.10, with support for SSL FTP.
