A suite of tools to dramatically simplify Apache configuration & maintenance
iTools complements and extends the open source software that is included with Linux, and makes it very easy for webmasters to set up and support sophisticated network servers. iTools is based on open source implementations of Apache, DNS, FTP, and sendmail, created and maintained by software developers worldwide. Using the Linux open source internet software as a point-of-departure, Tenon's iTools extends the underlying architecture with a point & click interface and a rich set of new features. In addition to extensions and enhancements to Apache, DNS and FTP, iTools includes a fully customizable, anywhere, anytime WEBmail server, a robust two-tiered-certificate-savvy SSL encryption engine to support eCommerce, a powerful caching engine with state-of-the-art proxy support, a sophisticated search engine, and both FastCGI and mod_perl support to provide high-performance Perl and CGI execution. All of the tools are supported using a point & click, browser-based administration tool, enabling system administrators and webmasters to manage their web servers remotely using any internet browser. iTools provides the power and flexibility of an advanced graphical user interface, while still leaving the native configuration files accessible.
Tenon's new iTools runs on Linux PPC 1999/2000, Terra Soft's Yellow Dog Linux Champion Server 1.1/1.2, and RedHat Linux 6.1 for Intel. A preliminary version of iTools is included on Terra Soft's YDL Champion Server "Tasty Morsels" CD. iTools for Linux is available now at an introductory price of $199. It is downloadable with a built-in 14-day license, which can be easily extended by contacting Tenon (sales@tenon.com). /products/itools-linux/
